Special Interest Groups

 

A Special Interest Group (SIG) is a group of single members who meet to share a common interest.  Currently there are SIGs for cooking, a book club, and games.  Each group is kept to a maximum of 6 to 8 members since meetings are held at a member’s home. 

 

If you would like to participate in a group or want a group created, we keep a list of members who have expressed interest.  When we have at least 4 members who want to belong to a group with the same interest, the members are notified that a new group has been created for them.  If a current group loses a member, they will try to fill the space with a member on the waiting list who has expressed interest in that same group.

Currently we have a dining group and a Rummikub group.  The Rummikub group meets at Anthem Center at 6 pm on Saturdays.  If you have an interest in either group, please contact the Singles Club Secretary, Judy Barbour at judybarbour@yahoo.com.
